Travafa Terms of Use
Version 2.0 — Last updated: 23 August 2026 Effective date: 23 August 2026
These Terms form a contract between you and Pirtztel Technologies Private Limited, 3/1256 AB, Transport Nagar 6th, Karaikudi Southstreet, Karaikudi, Sivaganga - 630002, Tamil Nadu, India ("Travafa", "we", "us"). They govern the Travafa mobile app, website and related services (the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
Please read §12 (Disclaimers), §13 (Limitation of liability) and §16 (Governing law and disputes). They limit our liability and affect how disputes are resolved.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 where local law sets that minimum, to hold an account.
- If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with a parent or guardian's involvement, and only they may make bookings or payments.
- You must be legally capable of entering this contract and not barred from the Service under any applicable law, including sanctions and export-control law.
- Travafa is not available everywhere. We may restrict sign-up from regions where we do not operate.
2. Your account
- You sign in with a phone number, an email address and password, or Google.
- Every phone number and email address on your account must be verified. We send a one-time passcode to prove it is yours. Unverified contact details limit what you can do on the Service.
- Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account, other than activity caused by our own failure.
- Notify us immediately at support@travafa.com if your account may have been accessed without permission.
- One person, one account. Do not create an account for someone else, and do not transfer or sell your account.
- Guest browsing is available without an account, with a limited feature set and no saved or personalised content.
3. What Travafa is — and is not
Travafa helps you discover destinations, plan trips, keep a travelog, share plans, and book travel from third-party suppliers.
We are an intermediary, not the travel supplier. Flights, stays, activities, transfers and insurance are supplied by airlines, hotels, operators, and insurers. When you book, you contract with that supplier on their terms — fare rules, cancellation policy, baggage rules, refund conditions. We are not responsible for a supplier's performance, insolvency, schedule change, denied boarding, or service quality.
Insurance: where Travafa presents travel insurance, we act only as a referral. The policy is issued by the insurer and is governed entirely by that insurer's policy wording, terms and regulatory disclosures. Travafa does not underwrite insurance, does not act as your insurance agent or broker, and does not give insurance advice or recommendations. Any claim, cancellation or complaint about a policy is between you and the insurer. Read the policy wording before purchasing.
You are responsible for:
- Traveller names matching travel documents exactly
- Passports, visas, permits and entry requirements for your route
- Health, vaccination and insurance requirements
- Arriving in time for your booking
- Complying with local law at your destination
4. AI-generated content
Travafa uses AI to generate itineraries, recommendations and in-app assistance.
AI output can be wrong. Prices, availability, opening hours, travel times, visa and entry rules, and safety information may be inaccurate or out of date. Treat AI output as a starting point and verify anything you will rely on — especially bookings, budgets, documents and border requirements — against the official source before acting on it.
We give no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or fitness of AI output, and we are not liable for decisions you make in reliance on it.
5. Payments, subscriptions and refunds
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat and the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not store your card, CVV or UPI credentials.
- Prices are shown before you confirm. Taxes and supplier fees may apply. Currency conversion is your bank's.
- Supplier bookings are refundable only under that supplier's policy. We pass refund requests through; we cannot grant a refund a supplier refuses.
- Travafa service fees, where charged, are non-refundable once a booking is confirmed, unless the law provides otherwise.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel through your App Store or Play Store subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal and does not refund the current period unless the store's policy or local consumer law provides otherwise.
- Raising a chargeback without contacting us first may result in suspension.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post — photos, videos, reviews, blogs, itineraries, discussion posts ("Your Content").
You grant Travafa a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for formatting, resizing and thumbnails), publish, and display Your Content, solely to operate, improve and promote the Service. The licence lasts while you keep the content on the Service and ends when you delete it — except for copies already shared with others and routine backups that cycle out over time.
You confirm that you own Your Content or have the necessary rights, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or breach any law.
Visibility is yours to set. Content and travelog entries carry a visibility setting — Only me, Friends, or Public. Anything marked Public can be seen, copied and re-shared by others.
Feedback: if you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation or compensation to you.
7. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, sexually explicit, or that depicts or promotes harm
- Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation
- Upload another person's photos or personal information without their consent
- Post spam or manipulate ratings, reviews or rankings
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive our source code
- Probe, scan or test the security of the Service, or bypass authentication, rate limits or access controls
- Use bots or automation to create accounts, place bookings, or interact with users
- Use the Service to build a competing product
- Use another user's account or share your credentials
7.1 Reporting and moderation
Report abusive content or users in-app or to support@travafa.com. Report security vulnerabilities to the same address — we will not pursue good-faith researchers who report privately and do not access other users' data.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. Where practical and lawful we will tell you why, and you may appeal by replying to the notice or writing to support@travafa.com. We aim to review appeals within 14 days.
7.2 Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Travafa infringes your copyright, send corporate@travafa.com: your contact details; identification of the work; the URL or location of the infringing material; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised; a statement that the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act; and your signature. We remove or disable infringing material and may terminate repeat infringers. If your content was removed in error, you may send a counter-notice to the same address.
8. Friends, contacts and sharing
- Contacts Sync is optional and identifies which of your contacts already use Travafa. Do not sync an address book you lack permission to use.
- Live location sharing is off unless you turn it on, applies only to the trip participants you choose, and can be stopped at any time.
- Do not re-share another user's location, photos or plans outside the Service without their permission.
9. Our intellectual property
The Service — software, design, branding, and content we create — belongs to Travafa and its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. The Travafa name and logo may not be used without our written permission.
10. Availability, changes and beta features
- We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service. For material changes affecting paid features we will give reasonable notice.
- We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service.
- We may impose reasonable usage limits, including rate limits on sign-in, passcodes, and AI generation.
- Features labelled beta, preview or experimental are provided as-is, may change or be withdrawn, and are excluded from any service commitment.
11. Ending your account
- You may delete your account at any time in Profile → Settings, or by writing to support@travafa.com. Deletion is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if your use creates risk for others. Where practical and lawful we will tell you why.
- Confirmed bookings survive account deletion and remain governed by the supplier's terms.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination do — including §6 (licence granted before deletion), §9, §12, §13, §14 and §16.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that content on the Service — including AI output, prices, availability, and third-party place information — is accurate, complete or current.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Travafa is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or travel opportunity.
- Travafa's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the total Travafa service fees you paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) INR 5,000.
- Travafa is not liable for the acts or omissions of travel suppliers.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any statutory consumer rights you have that cannot be waived.
14. Indemnity
You will indemnify Travafa against claims, damages, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from Your Content, your misuse of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of anyone else's rights. We will notify you of any such claim and you may control the defence, provided any settlement releases Travafa fully.
15. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control — including natural disaster, epidemic, war, civil unrest, strike, government action, airspace closure, and failure of telecommunications or infrastructure providers.
16. Governing law and disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law rules.
- The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right you have as a consumer to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and to apply its mandatory consumer-protection law.
- Before filing, please contact corporate@travafa.com so we can try to resolve the matter directly. We will make a good-faith attempt for 30 days.
17. App store terms
If you obtained the app from the Apple App Store:
- These Terms are between you and Travafa only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
- Apple is not responsible for any product warranty, product-liability claim, or third-party intellectual-property claim relating to the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
- You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo, and are not on any US Government restricted-parties list.
If you obtained the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to your download and use.
18. Notices and electronic communications
You consent to receive notices from us electronically — in the app, by email to the address on your account, or by SMS to your verified number. Notices to us go to corporate@travafa.com. It is your responsibility to keep your contact details current.
19. Accessibility
We aim to make Travafa usable by everyone. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, tell us at support@travafa.com and we will work with you on an alternative.
20. General
- Severability: if any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in force and the unenforceable provision is narrowed to the minimum extent needed.
- No waiver: our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment: you may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in a merger, acquisition or asset sale.
- Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service.
- Language: the English version governs if translated.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here and update the version and date. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service afterwards means you accept the change. If you do not accept it, stop using the Service and delete your account.
