Vitsyebsk

Vitsyebsk, also known as Vitebsk, is a city in northeastern Belarus, situated on the banks of the Western Dvina River. It is the administrative center of the Vitsyebskaya Voblasts' (Vitebsk Region). The city has a rich history that dates back over a thousand years.

Early History and Foundation
