Delčevo is a town in the eastern part of North Macedonia, situated in the Pijanec region near the Bulgarian border. It serves as the administrative center of the Municipality of Delčevo. Ancient and Medieval Periods: The area around Delčevo has been inhabited since ancient times. Archaeological findings suggest that this region was part of the ancient Paeonian territories, and later it came under the influence of the Roman Empire. During the medieval period, the area was part of the Byzantine Empire and later became part of the Bulgarian Empire.

Ottoman Era: The town was under Ottoman rule for several centuries, starting from the late 14th century. During this time, it was known as Carevo Selo. The Ottoman influence is evident in the architectural and cultural aspects that remained in the town even after the end of Ottoman rule.
